I want to try learning a Partita …by myself - kind of; in the sense that I’ll work on it without my teacher knowing because I’m too afraid to ask her if I can try learning pieces that may be too advanced for me.

I’m slowly getting over my fear and discomfort from listening to other violinist recordings caused by the fact that I am nowhere near their level of skill because I haven’t been playing as long and I suck at practicing

My mother has this idea that “religion is only for people over 50 years old because they’re closer to dying and have more life experience/knowledge to allow them to have more spiritual depth” and idk but that’s always resonated with me

Never thought of it that way O:

I’m …all for that really. Not sure if my family would be hence why I kind of just dodge religion with them except when they’re not really doing things like this Good Friday (but then I kind of just gave up and went with it because why the hell not). There’s just so much pressure and I really want to get away from it all

I can’t stress enough how important it is that you surround yourself with supportive people who make you feel important and special, and who enhance your life with their presence. If their presence is making you feel worse instead of better, re-evaluate why you’re letting them stay.
